The Discolor Tyre is a concept where the age and durability of the car tire is indicated and communicated through its color. Basically a tire is good for around 20,000 kilometers, and then its kinds worn out. With the Discolor Tyre, the tire takes on a bright orange hue once it is worn out and requires immediate replacement. It saves you the trouble of keeping a constant check and acts as a good warning system to keep your travels safe.

The Safe Guard is a life buoy to be used by people who don’t know how to swim, but need to help rescue a drowning person. Ok, so the scene may sound complicated in your mind’s eye when you read this, but the truth is that it is a plausible scenario. The main body of the buoy is anchored to the shore and the lifesaver inflates as soon as it touches water. It’s kind of a first reaction to an emergency situation kinda thing.

The Hole Measuring Tape is pretty innovative with many facets to it. It allows you to draw straight lines and circles with precision. Although not clarifies, I am assuming the tape is retractable and offers measures in more than one measuring system. Simple and functional, I’m sure you designers will love it!

The Air Umbrella has been in the news lately and I think this Pump Umbrella is a fitting Part – 2 for the design. For all practical purposes we have three main reasons for umbrellas to cause us worry; one when we use it – that it keeps us dry and doesn’t flurry inside out. Second: it should be easily portable. Lastly, after use we need to store it well so that it doesn’t wet the floor (bag or whatever!). So how about a wand-style umbrella that we ‘pump’ into shape and then easily deflate for storing? Super!

know the tech companies are doing their best to come out with a mouse that is sleek and compact enough to compliment a laptop. However I am sure most of you will agree with me that a full bodied mouse is what our hands crave, when we work one with a laptop. So to address the issue or portability and keep with the demand of a fully functional mouse, we have here the Flat CD Mouse Concept. When its flat-packed it fits into the CD ROM drive and when you fold it (origami style), it converts into a fully functional mouse. Love it and want it NOW! Forget iPhone 5, It’s Time For iPhone 6!

If you are still dealing with conceptual iPhone 5 phones, then I reckon you are late in the game. The stakes have moved up to the iPhone 6, a concept where the home button is moved to the left side of the phone (used with the thumb), leaving a huge screen space for one to enjoy. In this mockup, Antoine uses ergonomic grip quite cleverly and formulates it with dimensions 125 mm x 63 mm with a 4.9-inch screen. For a first round of concepts, it looks interesting enough, what do you think?

Well Configured Life
Tweet
Steve Jobs once said that people don’t know what they until you show it to them. This is probably why we have independent gadgets now vying for integration with features of mainstream products. Can your tablet take good pictures; is your cellphone smart like a computer; can your MP3 player shoot videos? Not only are we duplicating applications, we are also diluting the individuality of a device. I’m not going to judge on the technology wastage here, instead I’ll update you on concepts like the Lifebook. An idea that integrates a tablet, camera, phone and music player to collectively form the hardware for a laptop! They all work independently to support their unique identity and yet unify to create a magical device.
The proposed Lifebook is a laptop computer concept based on the principle of “shared hardware”. Currently a lot of hardware is wasted when we use separate devices, as there is often a lot of “repeat” of data stored and features. For example if I have my songs on my music player, why do I have to block the same amount of storage on my laptop? Similarly, if I have a processor sitting in my tablet, why can it not also run/assist my laptop? If I have a fully functional camera with its own memory and image processing power, why do I need to have it repeated in my laptop?

Ever been flustered by a broken or missing button right when you are ready to walk out the door? Ah, we have all been through this at one point in our lives. For those like me who detest sewing, the Pin Button is a good option. A plastic button is superimposed upon a metal pin, which you need to push in and secure (as shown in the video), thus releasing you from the clutches of needle and thread! Yes, this pin button is my savior!

Drinking My Coffee And Eating It Too!
Yes, that is the pleasure of sipping espresso out of the Cookie Cup! The edible cookie cup is made of a light pastry that is lined with sugar. So basically when you pour in your coffee shot, the sugar dissolves slowly so that you can enjoy your drink and then later eat up the cookie. Not only does the design allow you to snack on a tasty treat, it also looks into the eco aspect of no-dishwashing and suds issue. Very Clever!
