Inspired by Marty McFly’s shoes (http://www.toxel.com/inspiration/2010/05/03/12-unique-and-creative-shoes/) in Back to the Future II, Blake Bevin created a pair of Nike (http://www.toxel.com/tech/2009/04/20/nike-transformers-running-shoes/) sneakers (http://www.toxel.com/inspiration/2009/11/14/nike-sneakers-made-from-paper/) with automatic shoelaces.
When you step into the shoe (http://www.toxel.com/inspiration/2010/06/12/nike-shoe-aquarium-from-japan/), a pressure sensor activates two motors that apply tension to the “power laces” and tighten the shoe (http://www.toxel.com/tech/2010/04/15/new-shoe-packaging-from-puma/).
