The attack took place in Khel village, some 25 kilometers west of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan, AFP quoted Pakistani officials as saying.
The officials said suspected Afghan warlord Hafiz Gul Bahadur, who is believed to have led up to 2,000 fighters in attacks against US-led forces over the border in Afghanistan, had allegedly rented the compound.
"Two US drones fired four missiles, we have reports that six militants have been killed," a senior security official in Peshawar said.
Two intelligence officials in Miranshah have also confirmed the attack and the number of people killed in the incident.
A total of 300 people have been killed in 42 previous drone attacks in Pakistan's tribal belt this year.
Washington claims that militants are the target of the missile strikes in Pakistan, but hundreds of civilians have lost their lives in drone attacks since 2008
