This software is available only to owners of the book Geotechnical Engineering: Principles and Practices. It is not freeware, and may not be distributed to others. To install this software, you will need to supply a keyword from the book.




Downloading and Installation Instructions

1. Download the geotechnical analysis software files from the Prentice Hall website by clicking here. Save this self-extracting .zip file to your C: drive.

2. Double clicking on this file will unzip the files and save them to a new folder, "geotechsoft."

2. Using Windows Explorer, open the "geotechsoft" folder and double-click on setup.exe. The setup routine will then decompress the files and place them in a permanent folder on your hard drive. By default, the files are placed in c:\program files\geotechnical analysis software, but you may choose to place them in some other folder. The setup routine also places an item "Geotechnical Analysis Software" under the Start button - Programs.

3. Click on the Windows Start button, then go to Programs and to Geotechnical Analysis Software. This will start the software. Alternatively, you can use Windows Explorer and double click on c:\program files\geotechnical analysis software\geotechnical analysis software.exe.

4. Delete the "geotechsoft" folder created in Step 2.

5. The first time you run the software, you will be asked to input a keyword from the book. This will complete the installation process. Then follow the instructions on the screen to reach the main menu.



Uninstallation Instructions

To remove the geotechnical analysis software from your computer, click on the Windows Start button, then go to Settings and Control Panel. Once the control panel window appears on the screen, select Add/Remove Programs. Select Geotechnical Analysis Software and click on Add/Remove.

Ensoft GROUP 7.0

GROUP has been well accepted as an useful design tool for analyzing the behavior of piles in a group subjected to both axial and lateral loadings. The program was developed to compute the distribution of loads (vertical, lateral, and overturning moment in up to three orthogonal axes) from the pile cap to piles arranged in a group. The piles may be installed vertically or on a batter and their heads may be fixed, pinned, or elastically restrained by the pile cap. The pile cap may settle, translate, and/or rotate and is assumed to act as a rigid body.

The program will generate internally the nonlinear response of the soil, in the form of t-z and q-w curves for axial loading, in the form of p-y curves for lateral loading and in the form of t-r curves for torsional loading. A solution requires iteration to accommodate the nonlinear response of each pile in the group model. Program GROUP solves the nonlinear response of each pile under combined loadings and assures compatibility of geometry and equilibrium of forces between the applied external loads and the reactions of each pile head.

The p-y, t-z, q-w and t-r curves may be generated internally, employing recommendations in technical literature, or may be entered manually by the user. The pile-head forces and movements are introduced into equations that yield the behavior of the pile group in a global coordinate system. The program can internally compute the deflection, bending moment, shear, and soil resistance as a function of depth for each pile.

For closely-spaced piles, the pile-soil-pile interaction can be taken into account by introducing reduction factors for the p-y curves used for each single pile. As an option, the user can ask the program to generate internally some suggestions for p-multipliers to automatically reduce the soil resistance. In GROUP v7.0 the program is able to generate or lets users specify p-y reduction factors for two orthogonal axes.

GROUP v7.0 GROUP v7.0 now allows the user to select a new option for computing the required unit side friction at the top and bottom of each soil layer along with a unit tip resistance. The new version employs commonly-accepted equations to compute internally the estimated unit side friction and unit tip resistance based on the soil properties that are specified by the user for each soil layer.

The new version still allows the user to input external nonlinear curves of axial load versus settlement for each pile in the group. Those external curves can be obtained by the user based on load tests or using the Ensoft programs APILE and/or SHAFT.

Upres is for designing tunnels and pipe lining using Dr. H. Einstein's method ("Improved Design of Tunnel Supports," prepared for the U.S. Department of Transportation, 1980). Tunnel can calculate the stress redistribution in soil, the moment, the thrust, and the deflection in pipe or tunnel. Full slip (friction between soil and structure) or no slip conditions are considered. Moment and thrust diagrams can be viewed and printed.

Upres is suitable for most elastic closed form models such as pipe and circular tunnel lines buried underground. The structural materials can be concrete, wood, shotcrete, brick, and steel. The structure can be built by segment panels, an I-beam and lagging system, or a continuous circular system. Even though the program is an elastic solution, the results match very well with a solution of Finite Element Analysis, which requires complicated inputs and calculations.

نحوه نصب

در برنامه plaxis اگر از شما خواسته شد registration disk فایل USERDEF.PUF از فولدر پلکسیز
براوز کنید
در هنگام نصب این گزینه را انتخاب کنید personal computer installation
سپس اگر در جایی از شما hardlock drivers خواسته شد آن را از فولدر برنامه نصب کنید
بعد از نصب ورژن 8.2 کرک را از فولدرcrack update v8.2 با فایل های batch.exe, geo.exe, plaxout.exe, hlvdd.dll به محل نصب بریزید
ابتدا فایل hlvdd.dll از مسیر windows/system32 پاک کرده سپس فایل hlvdd.dll را از فولدر کرک جایگزین آن کنید
سپس از لینک زیر آپدیت برنامه را در ورژن 8.5 دریافت کنید.

SHAFT is used to compute the axial capacity and the short-term, load versus settlement curves of drilled shafts in various types of soils. SHAFT v5.0 can analyze drilled-shaft response in six types of strata: i) clay - cohesive geomaterial, ii) sand - cohesionless geomaterial, iii) clay-shale, iv) strong rock, v) gravel - cohesionless IGM, and vi) weak rock - cohesive IGM. The program allows for any combination of soil layers to be placed in a layered profile.

SHAFT features an approach known as concurrent engineering, where input, processing, and graphical output are performed from a single environment. An additional simple text-file, containing the complete output listing, is also computed in every computer run.

The analytical methods employed by SHAFT are based on experimental data obtained from hundreds of well-instrumented load tests of full-sized drilled shafts. New criteria for soil response of gravel and weak rock were modeled after papers of recent publication.

In general, most of the analytical methods used by SHAFT are based on suggestions from the latest FHWA manual Drilled Shafts: Construction Procedures and Design Methods by L. C. Reese and M. W. O’Neill, published in November of 1999. This manual was produced under sponsorship and contract from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and is distributed by the International Association of Foundation Drilling Contractors.

LIST OF FEATURES
SHAFT allows users to investigate capacities of drilled shafts of different diameters thus helping on the selection of most economical sizing. The new SHAFT v5.0 extends this option of multiple diameters to drilled shafts socketed into weak rock or gravel.
The program features a second-generation, windows-based module that combines in a single interface the input of data, the processing of mathematical computations, and the graphical display of information contained in the output file.
The program analyzes straight as well as belled shafts.
The new SHAFT v5.0 can analyze drilled shafts or grouted piles with diameters smaller than 12 inches.
Separate factors of safety may be specified by the user for side resistance and for end bearing. The new SHAFT v5.0 now graphs output results based on Ultimate and/or Factored loadings.
The user may manually input lengths of shaft at the top and/or bottom with neglected friction of resistance in order to account for possible moisture change or for other factors noted in the user manual.
SHAFT allows for the computation of soil resistance to uplift forces. The program can use any reduction factor specified by the user for friction of transfer in uplift of straight shafts.
The program produces tables of values or graphs, as a function of depth, for a variety of soil profiles, showing capacities in side resistance and in end bearing, along with the sum of the two. The theoretical volume of concrete is also shown for each depth.
A short-term, load-settlement curve may be computed for drilled shafts of a specific length.
Iterative techniques are employed in solving the nonlinear finite-difference equations.
The user manual of SHAFT v5.0 includes the latest equations recommended in FHWA manuals. The theory for the methods of analysis is fully presented, along with the recommended technical procedures. Example problems are supplied for reference. More than thirty additional technical references are listed to provide additional information on the methods employed in SHAFT.

2D Limit Equilibrium Slope Stability Analysis

Slide 5.0 is the only slope stability software to include built-in steady-state unsaturated groundwater analysis capabilities using the finite-element method. Pore pressures are seamlessly integrated into your slope stability analysis.

Slide 5.0 easily models complex slope geometry. Draw the interface as you would in any CAD or drawing program or import a scanned image of your slope and digitize over it. How does one input information to the SHORING programs?

Two types of input are commonly used for SHORING: soil pressure diagrams and parameters.

The pressure diagram input is based on the configuration of pressures on the wall. These diagrams are constructed by determining active pressure, passive pressure, surcharge pressure, and water pressure based on soil conditions, soil parameters, and surface loads. The pressure diagrams must be constructed by the user before inputting them to the program. Use of pressure diagrams for input allows maximum flexibility for handling differing field situations and wall configurations. Our SHORING program uses pressure diagram input. The graphical presentation in the programs provides an immediate visual representation of the pressure diagrams so they can be checked rapidly for accuracy.

Shoring Suite Plus also supports parameter input. For the soil parameter input, soil physical properties (such as friction, unit weight and cohesion) and wall configuration (e.g., water table, wall height, surcharge load) are entered. You have to use Epres to input the information, then Epres will generate the pressure diagram for the SHORING program. These two programs are tightly integrated for data translation.

What are the output results of the SHORING program?

The output from the SHORING program includes:

* Reaction force for each brace, or tieback force for each anchor.
* Minimum embedment for soldier piles or sheet piles.
* Shear forces and moment of the pile at each span (between braces) and the maximum moment. This allows selection of the pile section based on maximum moment.
* Diagrams of pressures, shear, moment and deflection.
* Optimum selection of pile/beam from database.

What does the EarthPres program do?

Since the SHORING program uses pressure diagram input, one must determine the active and passive pressures before they can be entered. For level surfaces or infinite slopes, active and passive pressures can be calculated easily using Rankin's or Columb's equations or charts. However, if the ground surface is irregular, (i.e. two or more stages of slope), the determination of soil pressure is difficult. Sometimes empirical methods or conservative assumptions are made to solve the problems. Epres searches the failure surface to accurately determine the active or passive pressures on a wall. Wall friction, wall buttresses, and a complex ground surface can be accounted for. Epres is a very useful tool for the SHORING program. The data from Epres can be automatically translated to SHORING.

What does the Surcharge program do?

If there are surcharge loads on the ground surface near the wall, they produce additional lateral pressures on the wall which must be considered in the analysis. Lpres can determine the lateral pressure on a wall caused by different types of surcharges: point loads, strip loads, area loads, or combinations of these loads. The results are output in the form of a pressure diagram. The program is very useful for the design of retaining or shoring walls, and is another very useful adjunct tool for the SHORING program. The data from Lpres can be automatically translated to SHORING.

Does the SHORING program require EarthPres and Surcharge?

Both Epres and Lpres are stand-alone programs, which can be used for many geotechnical and construction problems. The SHORING program does not require Epres and Lpres. Without the two programs, you have to construct all the pressures yourself and input them to SHORING. We recommend that you purchase these two programs with the SHORING program, as they will increase your capability to easily solve problems with complex situations.

UDEC براساس محاسبات لاگرانژين عمل مي كند كه براي تغيير شكلها و جابه جائييهاي بزرگ مورد استفاده قرار مي گيرد.اين نرم افزار با سرعت محاسبه بالا براي مدلهايي با چند هزار بلوك طراحي شده است و حل مسايل در آن با پيشرفت در پله هاي زماني صورت مي گيرد.
اين نرم افزار 950 كيلو بايت فضا اشغال كرده و تحت سيستم عامل

قبل از آشنايي بيشتر با اين نرم افزار برخي از مزايا و معايب اين نرم افزار را بيان مي كنيم :
مزاياي برنامه UDEC را مي توان به صورت زير خلاصه كرد :
1-شبيه سازي مهندسي معمولا شامل مراحل طولاني از عمليات نظير تعيين تنش برجا،به كاربردن بارها،حفر تونلها ونصب نگهداري مي باشد. در برنامه UDEC يك سري از دستورات ورودي (از فايل ورودي يا صفحه كليد) كه با مراحل فيزيكي فوق انطباق دارد استفاده مي شود .
2- فايلهاي ورودي نوشتاري مفاهيم خوبي براي ثبت مدارك مربوط به يك تحليل در يك مساله مهندسي مي باشند .
3-فايل داده ها مي تواند به راحتي با يك ويرايشگر متن تهيه شود.
و چندين فايل داده را مي توان پشت سر هم جواب گرفت.
4-ساختمان با فرمان پيشرونده UDEC امكان ويرايش برنامه هاي خروجي و ورودي را بدون خروج از برنامه به استفاده كننده مي دهد.
5-با توجه به حل مساله در پله هاي زماني متوالي مي توان با وارد كردن زمان نتايج قابل توجهي به دست آورد .
از مشكلات و معايب اين نرم افزار مي توان به موارد زير اشاره كرد:
1-اين نرم افزار سيستم عامل MS-DOS اجرا مي شود و علاوه براين از نوع نرم افزار هاي Commond-line است و بر خلاف برخي نرم افزار ها مثل PHASES يا DIPS اين برنامه بدون منو مي باشد و ورسيون تحت ويندوز اين نرم افزار موجود نمي باشد،اين امر باعث شده كه كار با اين نرم افزار وقت گير باشد و نياز به تسلط بر فرامين اين نرم افزار براي كار با آن واجب است.
2- سرعت پايين محاسباتي اين نرم افزار به خصوص در محاسبات براي بلوكهاي تغير شكل پذير و در مدلهايي با بلوكهاي فراوان.(حل يك مساله با حدود 1000 بلوك صلب در يك و نيم ميليون سيكل حدود 4 تا 5 ساعت به طول مي انجامد)
3-گاهي اوقات در هنگام بروز مشكل اين برنامه به جاي صدور پيغام خطا به اصطلاح مي پرد يا از دور خارج مي شود.به عنو.ان مثال مي توان به مشكل همپوشاني (Overlap) بلوكها اشاره كرد.
4- عدم وجود خاصيت Autosave در اين نرم افزار باعث شده تا مشكلاتي در ذخيره محاسبات انجام شده ،در اثر قطع برق يا مشكلات خود برنامه به وجود آيد(دستور Save بايد براي ضبط محاسبات و تحليل ها به كار رود.)
فايل اجرايي اين نرم افزار UDEC.EXE نام دارد و داده ها واطلاعات ورودي بهتر است در يك ويرايشگر متن مثل notepad آماده شود و سپس با پسوند DAT ذخيره گردد تا به هنگام لزوم براي حل مساله فراخواني شود.

Downloading and Installation Instructions

1. Download the geotechnical analysis software files from the Prentice Hall website by clicking here. Save this self-extracting .zip file to your C: drive.

2. Double clicking on this file will unzip the files and save them to a new folder, "geotechsoft."

By default, the files are placed in c:\program files\geotechnical analysis software, but you may choose to place them in some other folder. The setup routine also places an item "Geotechnical Analysis Software" under the Start button - Programs.

3. Click on the Windows Start button, then go to Programs and to Geotechnical Analysis Software. This will start the software. Alternatively, you can use Windows Explorer and double click on c:\program files\geotechnical analysis software\geotechnical analysis software.exe.

4. Delete the "geotechsoft" folder created in Step 2.

5. The first time you run the software, you will be asked to input a keyword from the book. This will complete the installation process. Then follow the instructions on the screen to reach the main menu.



Uninstallation Instructions

To remove the geotechnical analysis software from your computer, click on the Windows Start button, then go to Settings and Control Panel. Once the control panel window appears on the screen, select Add/Remove Programs. Select Geotechnical Analysis Software and click on Add/Remove.

FLAC (Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua) is a powerful two-dimensional continuum code for modeling soil, rock and structural behavior. Used interactively or in batch mode, FLAC is a general analysis and design tool for geotechnical, civil, and mining engineers that can be applied to a broad range of problems in engineering studies. The explicit finite difference formulation of the code makes FLAC ideally suited for modeling geomechanical problems that consist of several stages, such as sequential excavation, backfilling and loading The formulation can accommodate large displacements and strains and non- linear material behavior, even if yield or failure occurs over a large area or if total collapse occurs.

MAIN FEATURES

* Large strain simulation of continua, with optional interfaces
* Explicit solution scheme, giving a stable solution to unstable physical processes
* Library of constitutive models
* Statistical distribution of any property

NEW FEATURES

Full Graphics Interface - new graphical interface, the (Graphical Interface for Itasca Codes), makes all features in available by using graphical tools. (The command-line input is still available.) New features in the include: a grid library that helps users create common types of geo-engineering grids (e.g., retaining walls, slopes, tunnels, dams); use of digitized plots or imported graphics files to guide the grid generation graphically; and access to a database of material properties.

All commands that are available to users in previous versions of FLAC are now accessible via menu- and mouse-driven operations in the GIIC. The command-line output of the code is available for viewing via a pane in the GIIC. Through the use of multi-paned windows that may be re-sized or minimized, users can customize the modeling environment to match their individual needs and preferences.

The GIIC is a JAVA-based application that runs independently of the modeling code; data are exchanged directly between FLAC and the GIIC, allowing the user to obtain and manipulate model results without interfering with the solution process. Eventually, all Itasca codes will accessible with the GIIC.

Double-Precision Arithmetic Version - Version 4.0 includes a double-precision executable code as well as a single-precision code. The double-precision version provides more accurate solutions for cases in which the accumulated value of a variable after many thousands of timesteps is much larger than the incremental change in the variable (e.g., an accumulated value for displacement that is roughly six orders of magnitude larger than the incremental value in a creep calculation). The double-precision version is also recommended for models with grids containing zones with coordinates that are large compared to typical zone dimensions.

Two-Phase Flow and Capillary Effects - Available as a new optional feature, Version 4.0 can perform fluid flow and fully coupled simulations in which two immiscible fluids (with optional capillary pressure) are present within a porous medium. Two-phase flow processes and capillary effects have important applications in fields as diverse as the oil industry (gas drive), agriculture (flow in the vadose zone), pollution control, radioactive waste disposal and slope stability. In the FLAC formulation, the two fluids are considered slightly compressible (i.e. spatial variations of densities are neglected). The capillary pressure and relative permeability laws are built-in functions of the van Genuchten form. The non-linear partial differential equations for two-phase flow are solved using an explicit finite difference scheme with upstream weighting technique. The mechanical coupling uses Bishops effective stresses, and solid grains are assumed to be incompressible, as in previous FLAC versions.

Ability to link to other Itasca codes via TCP/IP connection - Data can be passed rapidly between two or more Itasca codes running on the same machine or on separate machines with a network connection. The upcoming versions of PFC and FLAC3D also allow such coupling, and the same facility will exist in new versions of other codes, as they become available. One example application involves embedding a PFC particle assembly within a FLAC grid, thus providing an efficient continuum boundary condition for the PFC assembly. The data transmission between codes is invoked by FISH functions that allow large arrays of data to be exchanged with single function calls.

New Printing and Movie Facilities - Version 4.0 can generate graphics files in several industry standard formats: BMP, EMF, JPEG, DXF and PCX in addition to PostScript. These formats are invoked through the SET plot command. Also, a new movie viewer program (MOVIE.EXE) is provided as a Windows application. The MOVIE command now works with the Windows version of FLAC and controls the capture of screen plots as a set of PCX images that are viewed with MOVIE.EXE.

AllPile is a Windows-based analysis program that handles virtually all types of piles, including steel pipes, H-piles, pre-cast concrete piles, auger-cast piles, drilled shafts, timber piles, jetted piles, tapered piles, piers with bell, micropiles (minipiles), uplift anchors, uplift plate, and shallow foundations.

One of the major advantages AllPile has over other pile software is that it combines most pile analyses in a single program. It calculates compression (with settlement), uplift, lateral capacity, and group analysis all together. Users only need to input the data once instead of several times in different programs. AllPile makes pile analysis easy, economical and time-efficient.

AllPile is suitable for all engineers, even those without too much pile analysis experience. It helps structural engineers choose soil parameters, and geotechnical engineers choose pile properties. AllPile is a must-have tool for structural, geotechnical, and construction engineers.

CALCULATION METHOD

* Vertical analysis is based on the approaches and methods recommended in FHWA, AASHTO, and NAVY DM-7 (NAVFAC) manuals. The compression capacity is the combination of skin friction and tip resistance. The uplift capacity is the sum of skin friction and pile weight.
* Lateral analysis uses the finite-difference method to model soil-structure interaction. Under lateral loading, pile shaft deflects and pushes the adjacent soils. Therefore, lateral resistance (pressure) is generated between soils and pile. By integration of lateral pressure, shear, moment, rotation, and deflection, the pile and soil interaction and behavior are analyzed. This is the same method used in COM624 program of FHWA. Comparing COM624, Allpile provides great user-friendly interface, additional features, and improvements. AllPile creates a COM624 input file and output. The input and output files can be directly viewed and printed. For comparison, you can directly run COM624 of HFWA yourself using the input files created by AllPile. AllPile is also comparable with Lpile (© Ensoft Inc.), which is also based on COM624. In our tests, AllPile generates very similar results as Lpile or COM624.

آشنایی با نرم افزارهای LS-Dyna و AUTODYN

امروزه روشهای عددی در کنار روشهای تحلیلی و تجربی کمک زیادی به حل مسائل و شناخت پدیده های فیزیکی می نماید. پدیده هایی که در طی فرایندهای دینامیکی با سرعت بالا اتفاق می افتد معمولا در تستهای تجربی به سختی قابل مشاهده و ثبت هستند. در حالی که در یک تحلیل عددی معمولا کل فرایند را می توان شبیه سازی نمود. هیدروکدها ابزارهای محاسباتی از علم مکانیک محیطهای پیوسته می باشند که برای شبیه سازی پاسخ مواد جامد وسیال در برابر بارهای دینامیکی (ضربه و انفجار) بکار می روند.

یکی از هیدروکدهای معروف,
نرم افزار LS-Dyna میباشد که قابلیتهای بسیار بالایی در حل مسائل دینامیکی غیر خطی دارد. توان بالای این کد در تحلیل مسائل دتونیشن(Detonation), انتشار امواج شوک, شکل دهی فلزات با تغییر شکلهای زیاد, برخورد اجسام, نفوذ پرتابه در هدف و ...و با داشتن تقریبا 200 نوع مدل ماده و 13 نوع معادله حالت و انواع روشهای تماس سطوح (contact), این کد را به یکی از قویترین نرم افزارهای مهندسی تبدیل کرده است که می تواند در بسیاری از مسائل انفجار و ضربه مورد استفاده قرار گیرد. قابل ذکر است علیرغم این قابلیتها, این نرم افزار همچون سایر نرم افزارهای مهندسی به تنهایی نمی تواند شناخت دقیقی از پدیده های فیزیکی بدهد. انتخاب نوع مدل ماده و معادله حالت مناسب , داشتن اطلاعات مربوط به خواص مواد و پارامترهای مورد نیاز در مدل ماده و معادلة حالت, شرایط اولیه و مرزی, تعریف مناسب سطوح تماس و ... ایجاب میکند که این روشهای عددی در کنار نتایج تجربی مورد استفاده قرار گیرد. نوع روش حل نیز تاثیر بسزایی در نتایج حاصله دارد. روشهای حل لاگرانژی, اویلری, کوپل لاگرانژی- اویلری, MMALE, SMALE و SPH را می توان بکار برد که هر کدام دارای مزایا و معایبی هستند. برای انتخاب روش حل مناسب بایستی با توجه به نوع مساله روش مناسب را انتخاب نمود. تحلیلهای عددی کمک مهمی در انجام تستهای مفید کرده و نتایج تستهای تجربی نیز داده های صحیح تری برای شبیه سازی عددی میدهد و با جلو رفتن هر دو روش در کنار هم میتوان به شناخت خوبی از پدیده رسید .

یکی دیگر از هیدروکدهای قدرتمند در حل مسائل دینامیکی غیر خطی, نرم افزار AUTODYN می باشد. با استفاده از این نرم افزار می توان انواع مسائل انفجار و ضربه را شبیه سازی نموده و نتایج با دقت قابل قبولی از آن گرفت. در این نرم افزار نیز از انواع روشهای حل لاگرانژی, اویلری, کوپل لاگرانژی- اویلری, MMALE ,SMALE و SPH می توان استفاده کرد.

LPILE Plus is a special purpose program based on rational procedures for analyzing a pile under lateral loading. The program computes deflection, shear, bending moment, and soil response with respect to depth in nonlinear soils. Components of the stiffness matrix at the pile head may be computed internally by the program to help the users in their super-structure analysis. Several pile lengths may be automatically checked by the program in order to help the user produce a design with an optimum pile penetration.

Soil behavior is modeled with p-y curves internally generated by the computer program following published recommendations for various types of soils; alternatively, the user can manually introduce other p-y curves. Special procedures are programmed for developing p-y curves for layered soils and for rocks.

Several types of pile-head boundary conditions may be selected, and the properties of the pile can also vary as a function of depth. LPILE Plus has capabilities to compute the ultimate-moment capacity of a pile's section and can provide design information for rebar arrangement. The user may optionally ask the program to generate and take into account nonlinear values of flexural stiffness (EI) which are generated internally based on specified pile dimensions, material properties, and cracked/uncracked concrete behavior.

FlexLMSetup.exe را اجرا و مراحل نصب را تا به پایان ادامه دهید فایل fides-server.dat را از پوشه کرک به محلی که برنامه FlexLM را نصب کردید کپی کنید در صورتی که مسیر نصب را تغییر نداده باشید باید این فایل را در :

کپی کنید
حالا می توانید برنامه را نصب کنید، بعد از نصب برنامه فایل license.lic را به محلی که برنامه را نصب کردید کپی کنید C:\Program Files\FIDES_2004\fides_Shared
، سیستم تان را مجدد راه اندازی کرده و برنامه را اجرا کنید .

WALLAP is a powerful, fast and user-friendly program for analysing the stability of cantilevered and propped retaining walls. WALLAP is suitable for the analysis of both temporary works, such as sheet pile walls, and permanent works such as reinforced concrete diaphragm walls and contiguous bored pile walls.

Factors of safety are computed according to standard codes of practice while wall displacements and bending moments are calculated by a finite element analysis which models the actual sequence of construction of the wall. Earth pressures are calculated automatically from basic soil properties.

The strata profile consists of up to 40 soil types with hydrostatic or non-linear water pressure distributions. Surcharges may be applied and removed while struts and anchors may be installed and removed. Soil Properties

A maximum of 40 different soil types can be defined including:

Struts and Anchors

Struts or anchors can be installed at up to 40 levels and may be pre-stressed. Struts can also be removed after installation.

Water Pressures

Hydrostatic or non-hydrostatic Water Pressure Profiles may be defined on both sides of the wall, to model a variety of complex conditions including:


Seepage
Submerged ground
Perched water tables
Uplift pressures under structures.
Automatic water pressure balancing option. This offers a convenient way of balancing water pressures at the toe of the wall by assuming a linear variation of piezometric head between the water levels either side of the wall.

Surcharges

Surcharges can be applied at or below ground level on the active or passive side of the wall. All surcharges are defined over a rectangular loaded area. Ramp surcharges can be defined i.e. Surcharge magnitude may vary linearly with distance from the wall.

Loads and Restraints

Horizontal and moment loads may be applied to the wall. Rotational spring restraints may be applied at any elevation in order to model the effect of floor slabs which are built into the wall.


Data Input and Editing

Data entry is menu driven. Data values are checked for permissible ranges. A list of data Errors and Warnings is displayed if unacceptable or inappropriate data combinations are detected. Data can be checked visually at any time during data entry or editing.
Units
Data may be entered in any consistent set of units e.g. (kN,m), (lb,feet). All print-out from the program is automatically annotated in the appropriate units.

WinFence can be used to graphically create detailed, full-color, cross-sections and fence diagrams quickly and easily. The program can be used to interpret and map soil and rock layers, contamination, fossils, minerals and hydrocarbons.

Cross-sections are created by specifying the pathline on a location map for the project. The location map shows all of the wells entered in WinLoG and any existing cross-sections specified in the project. WinFence shares the same database as WinLoG, and can be used to access and plot the borehole data entered in WinLoG.

When the cross-section is created the strata can be automatically generated using the program’s built-in intelligence or they can be created manually. This is done using artificial intelligence (AI) built-into the program. When determining how to connect the strata between boreholes, wells, and intersecting cross-sections the program looks at the similarities in the lithologies, thicknesses, and occurrence of the strata.

A wide variety of strata can be used to create cross-sections. Types of strata that can be used include layers, faults, lenses, intrusions, and alteration zones. Very detailed and complicated stratigraphy can be represented and easily drawn. Layers can contain multiple segments to represent uncomformities and highly faulted zones.

After the cross-section has been created it can be displayed in 3D along with other cross-sections in the project as a fence diagram. Fence diagrams are used to depict the geology and stratigraphy of the subsurface in 3 dimensions.

Typically, fence diagrams show several cross-sections that may intersect as well as boreholes and wells. The 3D fence diagram display can be panned, zoomed, and rotated. The Position of the user and the light source can also be easily moved.

Cross-Section Extension Module:

WinFence can be used to graphically create detailed, full-color, cross-sections and fence diagrams quickly and easily. A unique snapping approach can be used to add layer, alteration zone, intrusion, and lense boundaries. This approach allows the boundary of one strata to be fixed to the boundary of another strata. Making the input of strata boundaries quick and accurate. Boundaries can be partially drawn and partially snapped. Snapped boundaries can include one or more different strata. In addition to snapping, strata boundaries can be assigned to the strata above or below.

Projects are displayed using a geographical information system (GIS). The GIS displays a project location map that can be used to display and edit boreholes and cross-sections. In addition, site features and AutoCAD files can also be displayed. The project location map can also be printed to be included with the cross-sections and fence diagrams.

The format of the cross-section is controlled by a template, that can be easily edited and customized. Templates are used to specify the format and position of the cross-section, title bar, legend block, location map, and scale bar. Company logos, bitmaps, text paragraphs, lines, arrows, and rectangles can also be added to templates. Once the template is created it is available to all projects. WinFence comes with several previously created templates, that can be further customized.

WinFence shares the same database as WinLoG, and can be used to access and plot the borehole data entered in WinLoG. Several types of borehole data can be plotted on the cross-sections; including lithologic symbols, sample symbols, core logs, well diagrams, graphs, and geophysical logs. The actual borehole log data can be opened and edited in WinLoG by double-clicking on the borehole in WinFence. WinFence works in conjunction with WinLoG to ensure a seamless exchange of data.
All cross-section data for a project is stored in a Microsoft Access database. This database allows for the quick storage and retrieval of cross-section data and can be interfaced with a variety of other programs. There is no limit to the number of projects and cross-sections that can be stored in the database. The database is setup to work across a network if desired, with each project stored in a separate directory.

Cluster and Rock Stability Analysis


CLU-STAR is a program for computerised structural geology data collection and analysis.
The program recognises the discontinuity sets of a rock mass through hierarchical and non-hierarchical clustering procedures derived from the multivariate analysis.

These clustering procedures operate directly on the collected data instead of on their statistical distribution; the results are consequently closer to the geomechanical reality.


The high interactivity of the program offers the operator a better control of the full sequence of operations, as it is possible to choose the clustering level (and hence the dimension of the clusters), as well as the algorithms for the assignment of the joints to the individual discontinuity sets.


Once the joint sets have been determined, the program calculates the safety factor of the rock wedges, considering water pressures, surcharges, rock bolting and seismicity.

The program can also evaluate the anisotropic permeability tensor of the rock mass.

Different outputs are produced both in graphical and tabular form:

the printout of the structural geology data collection sheets;
the projection of the originally collected joint poles onto the stereonet;
complete projection of the results of the cluster analysis: the joint sets, the great circles, the rock wedge safety factors, the slope face and the friction angle circle can be represented on the stereonet;
a rose diagram for the evaluation of the dip direction distribution

The APILE software is used to compute the axial capacity, as a function of depth, of a driven pile in clay, sand, or mixed-soil profiles. The main computational methods used by APILE are those established by the American Petroleum Institute (API) in their manual on recommended practice, API-RP2A. The procedures from API have been adopted by a number of organizations.

In addition to computations based on API-RP2A criteria, APILE offers alternative methods for computing the axial-capacity of driven piles, including: i) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) method, ii) U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) method, iii) the Lambda-Method and iv) the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI, 1999) method and v) the Imperial College Pile method (ICP and also referred as the Marine Technology Directorate or MTD method, published by Richard Jardine et al in 2005) that are new introductions with APILE Plus v5 Offshore. Both new methods are based on data that APILE Plus v5can read automatically from outputs of Cone Penetration Tests (CPT).

This is MSettle version 7.1. MSettle is a dedicated tool for predicting soil settlements by external loading. MSettle accurately and quickly determines the direct settlement, consolidation and creep along verticals in two-dimensional geometry. GeoDelft has been developing MSettle since 1992. You can apply an automatic fit on measured settlements, in order to determine improved estimates of the final settlement.

Product integration. MSettle is an integrated component of the M-Series. Therefore, you can directly determine MSettle’s soil parameters from test results by using MCompress. Furthermore you can exchange relevant data with MGeobase (central project database), MStab (stability analysis), MSeep (seepage) and MDrill (directional drilling). MGeobase is used to create and maintain a central project database, containing data on the measurements, geometry and soil properties of several cross-sections. MGeobase is the time-saving and user-friendly working environment for the MSeries.
MGeobase stores project-based field data and soil parameters, and contains
several power tools to interpret the field data and create soil profiles. All important
M-Series programs can directly access the centrally stored data. MGeobase

GROUP has been well accepted as an useful design tool for analyzing the behavior of piles in a group subjected to both axial and lateral loadings. The program was developed to compute the distribution of loads (vertical, lateral, and overturning moment in up to three orthogonal axes) applied from any multiple locations in the pile cap to piles arranged in a group. The piles may be installed vertically or on a batter and their heads may be fixed, pinned, or elastically restrained by the pile cap. The pile cap may settle, translate, and/or rotate and is assumed to act as a rigid body.

The program will generate internally the nonlinear response of the soil, in the form of t-z and q-w curves for axial loading, in the form of p-y curves for lateral loading and in the form of t-r curves for torsional loading. A solution requires iteration to accommodate the nonlinear response of each pile in the group model. Program GROUP solves the nonlinear response of each pile under combined loadings and assures compatibility of geometry and equilibrium of forces between the applied external loads and the reactions of each pile head.

The p-y, t-z, q-w and t-r curves may be generated internally, employing recommendations in technical literature, or may be entered manually by the user. The pile-head forces and movements are introduced into equations that yield the behavior of the pile group in a global coordinate system. The program can internally compute the deflection, bending moment, shear, and soil resistance as a function of depth for each pile.

For closely-spaced piles, the pile-soil-pile interaction can be taken into account by introducing reduction factors for the p-y curves used for each single pile. As an option, the user can ask the program to generate internally some suggestions for p-multipliers to automatically reduce the soil resistance. GROUP is able to generate or lets users specify p-y reduction factors for two orthogonal axes.

The program allows the user to select computations of the required unit side friction at the top and bottom of each soil layer along with a unit tip resistance. The program employs commonly-accepted equations to compute internally the estimated unit side friction and unit tip resistance based on the soil properties that are specified by the user for each soil layer.

Users can also input external nonlinear curves of axial load versus settlement for each pile in the group. Those external curves can be obtained by the user based on load tests or using the Ensoft programs APILE and/or SHAFT.

GROUP v8.0 introduces several enhancements: Use of multiple load cases representing concentrated loads at the pile cap and/or distributed lateral load at the piles; Concentrated loads at the pile cap may be defined at any position; Distributed lateral loads at the piles can be defined by local or global axes; Load combinations can be specified by the user and are set by load factors applied at the defined load cases; Maximum and mini-mum envelopes may be computed for both load cases and load combinations; GROUP v8 can provide flexibility and stiffness matrices (in 2D or 3D models) for different levels of loading.

This is MDrill version 4.0. MDrill is a dedicated tool for designing pipelines constructed using the horizontal directional drilling technique (HDD). GeoDelft has been developing MDrill since 1992.
History
The first successful pipeline installation using the HDD technique was carried out under a river in the US. From 1979 onwards, the HDD technique gradually broke through internationally. The first application in The Netherlands was in 1983/1984 for the construction of a gas pipeline under the Buiten IJ in Amsterdam. Unlike conventional construction methods, the HDD technique can be used to construct pipelines without digging trenches and pits – for example, using sag pipes, pipe jacking or microtunneling. And it also significantly shortens the construction time. After the first application of the HDD technique, the NV Nederlandse Gasunie (Dutch Gas Corporation) took the initiative to form a research team to investigate the new construction technique. GeoDelft was a member of that research team, which investigated the construction of two pilot projects in the Netherlands.
The two pilot horizontal directional drillings were carried out in 1985. While the pipeline was being installed, measurements were taken to gain a greater understanding of the behaviour of the soil around the borehole. The results of the research were used to define preliminary guidelines that must be taken into account when designing and constructing pipelines using the HDD method. Since the first pilot projects, a large number of HDD’s have been carried out, and the HDD technique has become a quick and reliable method for constructing cables and pipelines under waterways and other objects. Continuation of the research has led to a greater store of knowledge about soil behaviour, the stresses in the pipes, and the fluid pressures in the borehole. The MDrill computer program was developed on the basis of this knowledge. Version 1.0 was first released in 1995. Some new features, such as the option for performing a strength calculation, were added in 1998. Version 4.0 includes an adapted calculation of maximum allowable mud pressures and an adjusted strength calculation according to the NEN 3650 series.

The GGU-GABION program system allows the calculation and design of gabion walls and walls build by similar stackable elements.

Stability and erosion are key phenomena in the design of dike structures. The pore pressure pattern is crucial. Therefore, a reliable prediction tool is required to assess the pore pressure behaviour.
If the geometry and soil data are known in detail, sophisticated numerical tools may be applied. In practice, these data are determined in a few locations only, supplemented with data from global databases. Then, outlined analytical methods are preferred.
Watex is such a simple, but powerful tool. It consists of transient analytical solutions, put together by the conditions of continuity of head and discharge. The user specifies a number of locations, where the pore pressure response is required. The results are visualized in charts.
The input and output for a calculation model of Watex are all done in one window. The various parts of the input and output are available in tabbed pages in this window For now only one model is implemented in Watex: the Sections model.
Section Model
In the Sections model the geometry contains a few essential areas. Four different sections are distinguished:
o riverbed: contains the transient river level
o foreland: represents the flooding of the wetlands
o hinterland: the area direct behind the dike
o far hinterland: the effect of the far away area
For this model the input is split up in the following sections:
- Soil parameters
- Locations and gradient
- Boundary conditions
The results are presented as:
- Report containing the input and the calculation results

A fully automatic bore log-generating program used in the Field of Geotechnical Engineering. Present practice of generating bore logs in geotechnical industry in India is using Auto CAD, Excel or Word or manually drawing. These software are not exclusively bore log generating softwares, but using existing drawing facilities, bore log is generated using mainly drawing objects over a predesigned bore log template. All these software requires special training experienced personal. Lot of Time and efforts is consumed.

 Features of GeotekhBORELOG
1. An exclusive bore log generating software.
2. As per IS : 1234 – 1985 and IS : 1234 – 1234.
3. Infinity depth of Bore Log.
4. Drawing is completely eliminated.
5. No special training is needed. Simply a non-technical computer operator can work without any difficulty.
6. 15 meter depth of bore hole can be logged in one page.
7. Entry through typing directly on screen and simultaneously bore log is generated in the drawing window.

All bore holes generated are saved in data base. In order to draw profile, give following two informations and click the “ Draw File “ button.
 Bore hole numbers to be included in the profile.
 Horizontal distances between the bore holes.
