بازارچه مرزی آستارا با توجه به ظرفیتها و توانمندی‌های منحصر به‌ فرد استان گیلان در توسعه مبادلات تجاری و اقتصادی با کشورهای حوزه دریای خزر، متاسفانه نه فقط عاری از هر گونه صنایع دستی بومی و استانی میباشد، بلکه لبریز از کالاهای وارداتی بی کیفیت عمدتاً از ترکیه و چین است که حقیقتاً جاذبه گذشته دهه های پیشینش را از دست داده .
