Preikestolen که از معروف ترین جاذبه های توریستی نروژ است، در نوع خود به عنوان یکی از برترین و شاید دلهره آورترین مناظر دنیا نیز محسوب می شود. این مکان دیدنی در عین شگفت انگیز بودن، محرکی است برای گردشگران تا ارتفاع 1000 متری آنرا فتح کنند.چراکه در طول چهار ماه تابستان سال 2009 حدود 130000 نفر از آن بازدید کردند و هرساله برای بازدید از این مکان اشتیاق بیشتری را برای توریست های دنیا بوجود می آورد.مساحت سطح بالای این صخره که تقریبا مسطح است، حدود 25 متر (82 فوت) مربع است. برای رسیدن به لبه پرتگاه یا همان بالاترین سطح صخره Preikestolen حدود 3.8 کیلومتر پیاده روی لازم است که حدود 3 الی 4 ساعت زمان نیاز دارد.
