یو اس اس بیرمنگام اولین ناو هواپیما بر جهان بود

این ناو در سال 1907 به آب انداخته شد، ‌این کشتی غول پیکر در جنگ جهانی اول به کار گرفته شد

و پس از 21 سال مأموریت آن پایان یافت و 7 سال بعد اوراق شد.
