عکاسی مادون قرمز

عکاسی مادون قرمز یکی از شاخه‌های جذاب عکاسی است که از گذشته تاکنون جزو دل‌مشغولی‌های عکاسان بسیاری بوده است و اساسا علت جذابیت‌اش هم بخاطر ایجاد نوعی نگاه و دید تازه به جهان است. در گذشته این نوع عکاسی با استفاده از فیلمهای خاص مادون قرمز سیاه و سفید مانند Kodak HIE و یا انواع رنگی مانند KODAK EKTACHROME Professional Infrared EIR Film انجام می پذیرفت. البته برای این منظور استفاده از فیلتزهای خاصی که مانع عبور سایر قسمتهای طیف نور می‌شوند نیز الزامی بود. همچنین پروسس خاص و گاها مشکلی نیز در پی داشت تا بتوان به عکسهای دلخواه دست یافت.

اما در دنیای دوربینهای دیچیتال نیز این داستان ادامه یافت. سنسور دوربینهای دیجیتال قادر به دریافت نور مادون قرمز است. اما برای پیشگیری از اختلالات تصویری ناشی از آلودگی نور مادون قرمز، با فیلتر خاصی در جلوی سنسور، باعث جلوگیری از رسیدن قسمتی از نور مادون قرمز به سنسور می‌شوند. توجه کنید که گفتیم قسمتی از نور. بنابراین برای عکاسی مادون قرمز در دوربین دیجیتال میتوان با استفاده از فیلترهای مادون قرمز که فقط به نور مادون قرمز اجازه عبور می‌دهند، و البته نوردهی طولانی، عکسهای مادون قرمز گرفت. و البته پروسس بعدی نیز نسبت به عکاسی فیلمی بسیار انعطاف پذیرتر و ساده‌تر است.

میزان عبور نور مادون قرمز در دوربینهای مختلف متفاوت است. دوربینهای کامپکت قدیمی‌تر به قسمت بیشتری از نور مادون قرمز اجازه عبور می‌دادند و عکاسی مادون قرمز با این دوربینها راحت‌تر است. می‌توان با آزمونهای خاصی وضعیت دوربینهای مختلف را از این لحاظ سنجید.
