Sleep is the natural state of rest in which your eyes are closed and your mind and body are inactive and unconscious
when you are tired and had a busy day , so you can hardly keep your eyes open. you take clothes off, put on your
pyjamas, brush your teeth,wash your hands and face and get ready to get into bed.blanket, sheets , pillow and mattress are in a usual bed.
Maybe you start reading a book before sleeping but when you are exhausted your eyes get heavy and can not stay
awake any longer.you start to get drowsy and very soon you begin to fall asleep!!!
Then quite suddenly you move from consciousness to unconsciousness and you are asleep
!!!
BUT Then, What happens???
Scientists say in the first hour of a normal night's sleep you go in to a Deep Sleep.In fact this is the time when your
sleep is deepest.Then mind goes into a lighter sleep called By Scientists "Paradoxical Sleep".It is during this type sleep that you have your Dreams
!
In a normal night, most people go from deep sleep to
paradoxical sleep Four or Five times.
so what's Dream? why we have Dream?
A dream is an imaginary series of events that you experience in your mind while you are asleep. There are different types of dreams
*Daydreams:
Studies show that we all tend to daydream about 70-120 minutes a day. It occurs during our waking hours and we let
our imagination carry us away. The content is helpful in understanding your true feelings and help in fulfilling your goals.
*Lucid dreams:
This occurs when you realize you're dreaming. "Wait a minute. This is only a dream!" Lucid dreaming gives us the
ability to control our dreams.It can help us to rehearse the events before it actually occurs.At least half of the adults
have had a lucid dream in their lives.
*Nightmares:
Many of you most probably had this already. This is a disturbing dream that causes you to wake up feeling anxious and
frightened. Nightmares may be a response to real life
trauma experienced.
*Healing dreams:
Many experts believe that dreams can help avoid potential health problems and help to heal. Dreams of this nature might be telling us to go to the dentist or doctor. They serve as messages in regards to our health.
*Signal Dreams:
Signal dreams help you how to solve problems or make decisions in your waking life.
